Node.js Latest Version 8.0.0 Is Out
The long wait for Node.js version 8 is over now. After almost a month delay, Node.js got finally released on 30th May 2017(12 PM PST) with a bevy of exciting features and bugs fixings for developers. In fact, debugging and developer workflow are two major concerns of this big release.

Carbon is the codename for this new version of Node.js. This also includes the 5.0 version of the npm client.
SMEs and large enterprises have complex production environments and need stability. So, they should wait until Node.js 8 reaches LTS status before upgrading it for production.
Node.js 8 will officially enter LTS(Long Term Support) status in October 2017 as per the current development line. This LTS lifespan will end on December 31st, 2019.
